ACADEMIC PARTNER INSTITUTIONS
The Institute is proud to partner with Averett University, Danville Community College and Virginia Tech. In addition to these three initial partners, IALR has worked with numerous higher education providers to discuss partnering opportunities that would increase educational opportunities in Southside Virginia. These partners include: Old Dominion University, the University of Virginia, Longwood University, and Virginia Commonwealth University.
In a shared effort to expand educational opportunity, the Institute has partnered with the New College Institute in Martinsville and the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center in South Boston to form the Southside Higher Education Coalition. These three state-supported entities will work collaboratively to bring academic programs to the region.
