Southside Summer Adventure Camps

Get ready for a summer of fun that includes animation, engineering, physics, nanoscience and many other exciting topics! From early June through late July, youth from throughout Southern Virginia can come to one of the seven summer camps!

Southside Summer Adventure (SSA) is sponsored by the Institute for Advanced Learning & Research (IALR). SSA is a series of summer educational programs in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education for students entering grades 3 - 9.

Each camp is led by a unique combination of experienced college instructors, teachers and local college students serving as interns.
