International Computer Driving License (ICDL) training and certification is now being offered at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research

What is ICDL?

International Computer Driving License (ICDL) is the world’s leading basic computer skills training with over five million candidates enrolled in over 140 countries. The ICDL program is for anyone who is looking to improve their computer skills. It provides the skills necessary for a world where proficient use of information and communication technology is critical. The program focuses on a participant’s knowledge of basic computer skills in three content areas which include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint 2007 and also Information and Communication.

  Word 2007:

    is an amazing and powerful program that can meet
    all your word processing needs. The new features
    and interface will outshine earlier versions in both
    power and usability.

  Excel 2007:
    is a program with immense computing power that
    can also help you organize all types of data. This
    includes text as well as numeric data. It is also
    possible to share Excel data with other Microsoft
    applications such as Word and PowerPoint.

  PowerPoint 2007:
    is a presentation graphics program – software that
    helps you create a slide show presentation and
    supplements, such as handouts and speaker notes.

  Information and Communication:
    Learn more about web browsing, internet search
    engines, and social networking sites, plus using
    email and organizing your mailbox.
