The Southern Virginia
region has untapped opportunities, unique regional assets, and organizational
strategies that could better position the region to compete more effectively in
the global economy while retaining the sense of community that supports a high
quality of life. These were the findings of Dr. Suzanne W. Morse in
a study she recently completed, identifying the benchmarks needed to create a
thriving economy and a high quality of life for citizens in the region. Dr.
Morse will present and discuss her findings in a breakfast meeting co-hosted by the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research, the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce, the Harvest Foundation and the Danville Regional Foundation.
