AeroFarms recently broke ground on the world’s largest and most technologically advanced aeroponic indoor vertical farm in Danville-Pittsylvania County. Virginia Governor Ralph Northam and Virginia Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry Bettina Ring, among many other state and local elected officials, joined AeroFarms for the groundbreaking ceremony.

IALR has partnered with Virginia Tech to launch a Controlled Environment Agriculture Innovation Center on IALR’s campus, just minutes away from AeroFarms’ Danville-Pittsylvania County location, to conduct research and educational programming to advance the industry. “AeroFarms is excited about the opportunities presented by the new IALR research facility.
