Come see the beautiful and diverse pieces that are on display.  \nJUDGE: Michael D. Fels \nMichael D. Fels is a practicing mixed-media artist and acting chair of the Department of Art and Art History at Elon University. Fels taught for ten years at The Pennsylvania State University before joining the faculty at Elon University 20 years ago. \nFels continues his exploration of art and its physical boundaries through both his teaching and his art making. He regularly exhibits both 2 and 3-dimensional works in materials ranging from steel\, wood\, glass\, concrete and more. His art has been shown in places ranging from Taiwan\, New Zealand\, Chicago\, DC and New York City. \n    \n

The Gala will raise money for scholarships to support high school athletes as well as Danville Church & Community Tutorial Program\, which provides after-school tutoring and enrichment activities to promote student success. \n1 Dream One Team invites our Dan River Region to join with us to give back to our youth by providing them with opportunities to succeed in school and in life. At our annual fundraising event\, we will celebrate our young athletes and youth who are aspiring to do great things in life. \nThis event will be a fun\, elegant evening of dining and entertainment that is not to be missed. There will be live music\, a silent auction (with items such as exclusive getaways\, excursions\, sports memorabilia\, and much more)\, as well as presentations for the local scholarship recipients.
