Students in John Ayers’ Introduction to Plant Science class toured the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research. The course is one of several agribusiness courses offered at Patrick & Henry Community College. Ayers said the Institute exposes his students to several different areas of agriculture and research being conducted in Southern Virginia.
“I am beyond amazed with the staff and impressed with the technology the research facility has to offer,” said PHCC student Emily Barbour.
Senior Scientist Scott Lowman provides an overview of the importance of plant health and movement to a group of students from Patrick & Henry Community College. The research is part of the Institute’s SMART table technology initiative.
