The Career ChoICE Youth Expo is an opportunity for the region to build a pipeline of students in strategic sectors that are aligned with economic development interests. It is a pivotal event that can make a difference in the lives of our emerging workforce.
No. The event is free for students, schools, and exhibitors thanks to generous sponsors and partners.
Primarily middle and high school students from participating in school divisions. Some preview events may be open to families or community guests.
Homeschoolers: Can we attend? Yes, however please note that the event is geared towards middle and high school age students (younger siblings are welcome, but please know that is not the target audience.)
Nonprofits: How can we get involved? – lots of ways- Sponsor the event (if it aligns with your organization’s mission), set up an activity station and represent non-profit work and/or another industry of your choice, volunteer.
Educational organizations:
How can we participate?
Public Schools- public school visits are coordinated through each eligible school divisions’ point of contact
Private Schools- contact us to attend
Higher Education- come represent your academic or workforce programs with activity stations! It’s a great way to show students the diverse training opportunities available to them here in our region.
Business Organizations: Do we have to pay to participate? – no, it’s free to participate
What should we do as an activity? – reach out, we’re happy to help brainstorm
Do we have to attend both days? – yes. If at all possible, activity providers are asked to participate on both days. If conflicts arise, please contact event staff.
Visits typically last 90 minutes to two hours, including check-in, guided exploration, and transportation.
All registered groups will receive digital planning resources, reminders, and day-of logistics via email.
