David Gauldin joined the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) program in 2023, serving as a Metrology Instructor to prepare students for a career in the submarine industrial base, and in 2024, he served as the CNC Department Lead, in 2025 he stepped into his current role as ATDM First Shift Manager overseeing first shift program operations. Gauldin graduated from Danville Community College’s precision machining program in 2013 and has been working in various leadership, technical and machinist roles within the machining industry since then.
Before joining ATDM, he worked as the manufacturing manager for Kyocera SGS Tech Hub, producing tooling solutions for aerospace, medical, and nuclear industries. Gauldin is also a recipient of the Catalyst award which was president to him by Telly Tucker
