Meet The Team

STEM and Literacy Tutors

STEM Educators with the Dan River Year AmeriCorps program focus on building and introducing curriculum and activities for students, helping prepare them for middle school to improve their literacy, math and/or STEM skills. These tutors provide direct and indirect service support to site(s) during summer camps, bridge programs and family STEM activities.

Public Health Education

AmeriCorps members with the REACH AmeriCorps program provide support to address regional physical and mental health challenges. Community health educators conduct public health workshops and provide individualized support, addressing the region’s most pressing physical and mental health challenges.

REACH AmeriCorps

Community Health Workers

The Regional Engagement to Advance Community Health (REACH) partnership unites agencies to address systemic barriers that prevent at-risk populations from accessing physical and mental health services. The program’s Coordinated Care Teams, which include cross-agency Community Health Workers, Care Coordinators and Community Paramedics, have worked with hundreds of clients across Danville, Pittsylvania County and Caswell County, N.C.
