Want to help visitors explore all there is to see and do in SoSi? Register for the I Am Tourism: Ambassador Program!

This program provides free training for those who would like to become champions for Danville and Pittsylvania County. Learn about exciting attractions, dining and shopping options, accommodations, and more to help create memorable experiences for SoSi visitors!

What Will Each Workshop Include?

• Interactive Workshops, featuring itineraries built on the hub-and-spoke model
• Guided bus tour of the Danville area, led by Joyce Wilburn

Dates:

• August 21, 2025
• October 16, 2025

Times: 1:00 – 5:00pm

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will receive:

• I Am Tourism certificate of completion
• Pineapple lapel pin, the official symbol of hospitality
• Passes to various attractions throughout the region to experience first-hand the many assets in SoSi

This course is free and open to the public. Each workshop will be limited to 50 participants, and 2 participants per business. Cancellations must be made at least one week before the event.
