Amanda Hylton joined the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR) in 2019 and currently serves as Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, Manufacturing Advancement, where she is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the vision and strategy for the multiple advanced manufacturing initiatives. Hylton has more than 18 years of experience in business and education, working at both the K12 and community college levels. She has substantial experience in various aspects of grants and contracts, including writing, management, evaluation and reporting. She currently serves on the HTEC member council. Prior to her time at IALR, Hylton taught 8th-grade English in the local school division and served on multiple regional and state committees. She earned her Master of Business Administration from Averett University, where she is proud to serve as the President of the University’s Alumni Association Board.
