Christopher Carter serves as a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) instructor for the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) program. In this role, Carter ensures that development implements different non-destructive testing techniques and skills that align with the employers’ needs within the Defense Industrial Base. Prior to coming to the Institute for Advanced Learning Research, Carter spent 12 years at Orano, primarily developing nuclear reactor parts while working his way through every department of manufacturing, including welding, machining, rolling, and non-destructive testing. Carter’s most significant experience involves various level II certifications in ASME, including VT, PT,RT, UTR and HMSLD. Carter has an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Integrated Machining Technology from Rockingham Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Project Management from Southern New Hampshire University. Carter’s biggest passion is to promote success in everyone he encounters. He wants to show students that there is no obstacle they cannot overcome with hard work and dedication.
