Karen Hardy

Karen Hardy is the Director, Cross-Functional Initiatives for the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) program at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR). She is responsible for the development and execution of program initiatives, managing emerging requests, and supporting partnership engagement. Karen has been with ATDM since October 2020, serving in various positions as the program expanded. Prior to employment at IALR, Karen served in management roles in the manufacturing industry as well as the speech and occupational therapy sector. She graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts and is pursuing an MBA from Longwood University. Currently, Karen serves on the board for Danville-Pittsylvania County Habitat for Humanity.
