Dr. Patrick Dail has been designing, developing and managing trades-related training programs for more than two decades. He began his career as an educator by leading a U.S. Department of Labor-funded high-tech manufacturing skills training program with the Community College of Baltimore County.
His work has focused on job skills training initiatives which reconnect unemployed and underemployed residents with the workforce in a meaningful way, as well as upskilling incumbent workers to support employer partners’ competitiveness.
Most recently, he served as the Dean of Continuing Education and Applied Technical Programs at South Piedmont Community College in Monroe, NC. In this role, Dr. Dail led a team of educators and administrators in the management of both credit-bearing and non-credit learning programs ranging from Machining and Welding, to Carpentry and Automotive Technologies.
Throughout his career, Dr. Dail has demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments, advancing student success, and building robust partnerships with industry stakeholders. He is known for ability to integrate technology into learning, and his focus on Instructor support and professional development.
Dr. Dail holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Adult Learning from Columbia University, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and a BA from McDaniel College.
