About our Advanced Materials

IALR’s advanced materials research is committed to the development and application of cutting-edge materials and assisting the region’s organizations in re-energizing the economy. IALR has invested in two distinct laboratories focused on the characterization and processing of advanced materials. These laboratories are the basis for IALR’s collaboration with private manufacturers as well as universities engaged in related research. IALR’s advanced materials research program also continues to work with local industries who utilize the analytical and processing labs for identification of recyclable materials and to prepare new products from the recycled materials.
