Stewart East was recently promoted to fulfill the Manager of Facilities Maintenance position at IALR. East has helped maintain IALR’s campus-wide facilities maintenance systems and processes to support IALR’s business goals and objectives since joining the team in 2013.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Averett University and an associate degree for electricity from Danville Community College. He also recently earned the Journeyman Electrician License. This demanding distinction requires at least four years of experience, 240 hours of formal vocational training and completion of the final examination.
“Stewart’s talents and expertise have significantly benefited IALR,” said Mark Gignac, Executive Director of IALR. “We are excited to see him continue to grow and lead in this new role.”
Outside of his work at IALR, East runs a successful family cattle farm, is the father of two active boys and serves as a deacon at his church.
