The City of Danville is extremely proud of winning the 2020 All-America City Award, which was the result of a true team effort. Countless organizations have collaborated for the region’s health and economic transformation which contributed to the win, and IALR was honored to be one of them.

IALR proudly serves as fiscal agent and lead of the Community Health Worker (CHW) initiative, one of the three programs highlighted among Danville’s health-enhancing efforts. Project Manager Amanda Young, of IALR, heads up a team of 12 CHWs who serve at various sites across Southern Virginia to improve access to health care services. CHW Marlo Burton served as a moderator during the award presentation and said, “It was an honor to be a part of something so special. Danville is on the rise as an All-America City!”

Additionally, when the National Civic League’s Denver conference switched to a virtual pitch presentation format for the All-America City Award candidates, IALR was happy to assist. The Institute Conference Center provided professional space in a socially distanced setting along with 21st century equipment, all backed by IALR’s expert IT team to execute a flawless presentation. “I appreciate the great work of the IALR staff who helped us put together a winning presentation for the All-America City competition,” said City Manager Ken Larking.

IALR’s team of experienced IT professionals provides livestreaming with multiple cameras, sound and technical support to the City of Danville during its pitch for the All-America City Award.
