Allison Moore

Allison Moore joined the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research in 2018 and serves as Senior Director, Marketing and Communications. She works to build positive public awareness of the organization’s role as a leader in economic and community transformation across Southern Virginia. Moore’s award-winning team helps lead brand and website development efforts for innovative programs like Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) and Great Opportunities in Technology and Engineering Careers (GO TEC®). Moore has more than 25 years of experience in the communications field and previously led teams in the banking and defense manufacturing industries. As an alumna of the Virginia Rural Leadership Institute and Lead Virginia, she is committed to collaborative economic prosperity for the region and the Commonwealth. Moore serves as President-Elect for Blue Ridge PRSA, is a member of the Danville Riverview Rotary Club and serves on the boards for the River District Association and Danville Public Schools Education Foundation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Business Administration from Longwood University.
