Jason Boyd serves as a CNC Machining Technician for the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) program. In this role, Boyd assists the instructor with in-class and lab instruction, helping students build the skills needed for the Defense Industrial Base. Before joining the ATDM program at IALR, he worked as a machinist for a top-tier NASCAR and Indy car team and as a Tool Maker for Strum Ruger & Co. He obtained a Diploma in Precision Machining from Danville Community College along with a certification from the Integrated Machining Technology program. In addition to his education at Danville Community College, he received two certifications in welding from Piedmont Community College.
