Jason Wells

Jason Wells has joined the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR) as the Executive Vice President of Manufacturing Advancement. He leads the Center for Manufacturing Advancement (CMA), Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) and Integrated Machining Technology (IMT) training, all of which are part of the Manufacturing Advancement division of IALR. Formerly, Wells worked as the lead executive of the KYOCERA SGS Tech Hub division in Danville before being promoted to Vice President of Innovation at the corporate group level. Wells brings to IALR over 34 years of manufacturing experience, having witnessed the evolutionary shift of manufacturing from pre-CNC processes to advanced Industry 4.0 technology implementation. Wells is the primary inventor of multiple patents, led the development of two manufacturing divisions for large international corporations, authored several published articles, was a speaker at various industry events, and was a curriculum creator for the continuing education of field-based applications and sales engineers. A degreed Toolmaker and Applications Specialist, he has also acquired several various industry certifications and continuing education credits.
