Justin Lackey joined the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research in September 2024 as a member of the Facilities Maintenance Team. With over a decade of experience in the U.S. Air Force, Lackey brings a wealth of expertise to his role. During his service, he specialized in Water and Fuel System Maintenance, overseeing all plumbing-related matters on base, including installing, maintaining and repairing critical water and fuel systems. His technical skills and military background provide a strong foundation for his work in facilities maintenance.
Lackey holds a Virginia Journeyman Plumber’s license, further demonstrating his expertise in the field. He also earned an associate’s degree in mechanical and electrical engineering and a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from East Carolina University, equipping him with a diverse skill set in both engineering and management.
